A teacher of Polish as a foreign language

In 2010, I graduated from the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin with a Master’s degree. Since 2005, I have been studying Russian philology, including translation and teaching specialization.

In later years, from 2010 to 2012, I participated in postgraduate qualification studies at the Center for Polish Language and Culture for the Polish Diaspora and Foreigners in the field of teaching Polish as a foreign language.

The examiner

Currently, I conduct classes at the Lazarski University in Warsaw, where I fulfil the role of a teacher of Polish as a foreign language. Moreover, I am an examiner in a certified exam in Polish.

So far, I have worked in many respected units and prestigious locations. Among them, you can distinguish: Tyumen State University in Tyumen, Russia, the Institute for Foreigners’ Education in Warsaw and the Cyril and Methodius Foundation in Lublin.

The “Flipped classroom” strategy

Flexible conditions

In my work with the students, I use the flipped class method. Students receive direct access to educational content in order to familiarize themselves with it before the start of classes. Therefore, we focus only on practical issues during meetings.

The use of this technique allows me to adjust all aspects of teaching to the individual needs of students and encourage students to active participation. Thanks to this, the results appear much faster, and learning is not a chore, but a pleasure.

Ms. Justyna was a Polish language teacher for a group of people with refugee experience, whom she taught from zero level to advanced A2+. I can certainly say that the classes were not only educational but also inspiring and motivating for the participants. Ms. Justyna Górska has been collaborating with Lazarski University since October 2018. She conducts Polish language classes at various levels ranging from A1 to C1. Ms. Justyna prepares materials tailored to the needs of each course, participates as an examiner in final exams at the University, as well as in state certification exams for Polish as a foreign language. Over the years of cooperation, Ms. Justyna has become known as a loyal, hardworking, and dedicated instructor who can be relied upon. She performs her assigned tasks professionally and with the utmost care, always keeping in mind the welfare of the students and the University. In her work, she employs various teaching methods, striving to adapt them to the needs and diverse requirements of the students. She always prioritizes the progress of the learners, fosters very good relationships with them, and is highly rated by them in satisfaction surveys. In addition to her subject knowledge and high teaching competence, Ms. Justyna is characterized by her ability to work in a team, conflict-free demeanor, kindness, and high personal culture.

After years of living in Poland and picking up the language on my own, I knew I needed professional help to fill in the gaps.
